Leading the way.

As a privately owned and operated family company, we have a different perspective on leadership here at Ernest. We have a very flat organization with few management layers, because we see everyone in the organization as a leader in their own right. Our commitment to a consultative team approach with our customers ensures the best ideas come to the fore quickly and efficiently. And with every employee totally engaged in the success of our customers, we benefit from leadership at every level.

A. Charles Wilson
Chairman

You always know when Charles is in the office. It starts when you hear the receptionists sing out “Good morning, Mr. Wilson. How are you today?” Then you'll see him on his rounds. Few company chairmen take the time to stop by every employee's desk to check in and say hello (and maybe to pick up a piece of candy or two), but Charles does. He knows how important it is to make those personal connections. Since joining his brother in business after serving in World War II, this recipient of the Purple Heart and Silver Star has always put people first. It takes a lot of energy to mentor so many individuals, but even after over 60 years in the business, Charles makes it a priority. The candy helps, but mostly it's the love he has for our company and all the people here that keep him going.

Tim Wilson
President

Spending time with family is at the top of Tim's list of favorite things to do. That's an especially good thing as the President of a family-owned business, because with over 300 employees his definition of family is a bit broader than most. He prides himself on the people he has on his team — their passion, the dedication they have to their work, and their willingness to collaborate to help find the best solutions for our customers. In fact, some of his greatest joys come from celebrating the professional successes and personal milestones of his extended family.

Ben Alhadeff
Chief Operating Officer

Working for Ernest Packaging Solutions for over 30 years has given Ben lots of perspective. He remembers the days when there was only one location, and that 50,000 square foot facility seemed big! But, dynamic growth is one of the things that Ben loves most about working here. He enjoys being part of a company that's always looking for and implementing new ideas. For Ben, that's what it means to be a leader – both in his role as COO and as a company that's moving packaging forward.

Brian Porter
Vice President of Client Relations

For a lot of us, life is a juggling act. With all the balls Brian keeps in the air at one time, it's nothing less than an art form. Years back, working on cruise ships and as a manager of a rock band, even now as a single dad of two boys, Dallas and Dylan, Brian always seems to have a lot on his plate. He's even the President of his city's Little League.

Amazingly, when it comes to his work as Vice President and head of our Consulting practice, he's just as energetic. With his attitude of making customers comfortable, understanding their needs and objectives while still having fun, Brian is a great asset to his clients and to us. We look forward to many more years of trying to keep up with him.

Mike Pichotta
Vice President of Operations

Mike was a part of the Ernest Packaging Solutions family long before he joined the team as an employee. In his work for a number of our suppliers, he saw firsthand what a difference that family feeling makes. Now he’s doing his part to demonstrate our strong commitment to service on a daily basis.  Mike does that by looking at things from all perspectives to help our clients and his co-workers succeed. That passion for success probably comes from his love of sports. He’s a big Miami Dolphins fan, and when he’s not rooting them on, you might find him riding dirtibkes in the desert, waterskiing and jetskiing, or hitting the slopes on his snowboard.

David Belinowiz
Corporate Controller

In between all the hours of camaraderie in the office, David manages to squeeze in a few minutes of work. At least that's how it feels to him since he loves his job so much. (And you don't hear that very often from the guy who's in charge of managing the money). The truth is, David takes his jovialness very seriously. For him, it's all just part of working with a team that respects one another, enjoys what they do, and appreciates the importance of staying positive.

Scott Gardner
Chief Marketing Officer

Both professionally and personally, Scott has a special talent for rallying people. Whether he's coaching his kids' baseball and soccer teams or bringing all the Ernest offices together under a compelling new brand, he knows the power of a strong, confident message. He's a firm believer in the company's commitment to Moving Packaging Forward and takes the idea to heart even in the way the company markets itself. He attributes this passion for our brand to the fact that the family culture at Ernest makes you always want to do your best. We know it's really because he's a savvy marketer that truly loves his work.
